Active professional finger boarders and hobbyists are still out there but the sport is no more as pervasive as they used to be.Ĭompanies, including Spin Master, still manufacture quality skating miniature sets that let you recreate the outdoor skating experience. However, the craze over Tech Decks and other fingerboards diminished with time. In fact, finger boarding inspired an entire generation to pursue skateboarding. Tech Decks offer an excellent opportunity for skateboarders to learn real-life tricks and maneuvers. Many other companies followed suit and started manufacturing fingerboards with the logos of all the major sports companies. Within a couple of years, the company sold over 20 million miniature skateboards. Soon, finger boarding became a craze, and their brand tech deck was synonymous with fingerboards. However, Spin Master’s entry into this still unexplored market changed the business landscape of these tiny yet highly efficient toys forever. Before them, only one company commercially produced fingerboards at a mass scale. Canadian Toy company Spin Master entered the finger boarding market in the late 90s.
